If Digging the Hole is anything to go by, Delivery’s next single (out late this September) is sure to rock your socks off. The garage punk four-piece hail from Melbourne’s inner North - seems to be a great breeding ground for bands at the moment, well always has been. Do we thank the waters of Merri Creek? Since forming in the midst of a 2020 lockdown they have a number of great shows under their belt: we hear their appearance at Golden Plains was stellar. With heaps of praise for their mash of program beats with live drums, synth and driving guitars in an off kilter-ish way, no wonder they are well received. Here at Flavourpitch we agree with Henry Rollins when he said, “Really cool band from Australia”. Keep an eye out for Delivery as we’re sure they’ll knock on your door like an old friend. Come on inside, it’s gonna be fun.

The “Green Toastie” recipe

Made up in the group chat on a Wednesday morning.

Ingredients:

Cheese

Pesto

Grilled zucchini

Green olives

Chilli

Rocket

Toasted ciabatta

Method:

Only thing is, gotta grill the zucchini for ages (ideally on a skillet) so it’s a bit charred and super sloppy in the middle.

Best served with a lager and a shot.

Where do you guys like to eat and drink?

Cafe: Sugardough on Lygon Street, Brunswick East - classic café almost giving trendy 90s vibes with 90s prices, super friendly staff. Must have item: avo on toast with a fried egg.

Pub/bar: Noisy Ritual, also on Lygon Street, Brunswick East - yummy wine and food, good vibes, big supporters of local music scene, excellent staff! Must have: the rosé.

Restaurant: Anh Minh, another Lygon Street, Brunswick East hot spot... perhaps all these places are just close to our house… Anyway, this place rules. Cheap and yummy Vietnamese/Chinese food, also very friendly staff which seems to be a big factor on the Delivery fav list. Must have menu item: spring rolls, duh.
